ABOUT US

Shanae Brock (Owner/operator) was born in the heart of Baltimore city. Grew up in poverty and crime Shanae wanted a way to give back to the community the same way her grandmother had opened her doors to her. Oldest of 5 Shanae overcame many obstacles with the guidance of her grandmother (Carolyn Hodges). Grandmother raising 5 children with special needs wasn’t a easy task but Carolyn persevered and did what had to be done. In 2015 Carolyn became ill and Shanae wanted to love and take care of her grandmother as she did for her all those years ago. Diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer’s, COPD, and depression it wasn’t a easy task while also caring for her 2 small children. But with the wisdom, knowledge, and love Carolyn bestowed upon Shanae it was obtainable. 2019 Shanae was the first person in her immediate family to purchase a home and give her grandmother a life that she knew she deserved. Many memories, laughs, and cookouts. Shanae saw the decline in her grandmother and wanted to keep her legacy of community, family, and love going so her grandmother would be proud of her. November 2020 Carolyn’s Loving Hands was created. Carolyn was beyond proud of her “soulmate” as they endearingly called each other. On December 30,2020 Carolyn had seen all she needed to see and she transitioned peacefully in the home Shanae and her shared. At That moment Shanae wanted everyone to feel “Carolyn’s Loving Hands” because those hands had guided, molded, and unconditionally loved her unselfishly. Our communities need to be uplifted and loved and by supporting one person at a time Carolyn’s Loving Hands aims to make a difference today!
